We're never going to get back the old design, and specially not an option to opt out. Meetup is too concerned with trying to provide an uniform look across groups so it's about the events, not the individual groups, to go back.

Please pardon me if I'm missing something. Eventbright appears to provide a ticketing service. This sounds promising, as scheduling and RSVPing is similar to "buying a ticket." My three Meetup groups, however, have hosted over 3,000 (yes three THOUSAND)events in the past 3+ years, and have never charged for anything. Nothing. Ever. Never passed around a hat. We use free venues (which is beneficial to venue owners), but I, nor any of my 100+ Event Organizers, have ever collected $1 from anyone. Eventbright appears to function by taking a part of ticket sales: am I wrong on this?

I for one am planning to join the MASS resignations of PAID Organizers on Saturday Dec 23rd IF they still haven't provided us an OPT-OUT of the damn "new design" crap by then.

I predict you won't resign as Organizer of your groups.

Rather, you'll find some excuse to chicken out.

I think by full access Stephen means the ability to view and use the site as a whole under the old design. Nobody can revert entirely back to the old design. They can only revert back to the old design for certain pages.

Heck, I still have full access to the old desktop MU site.
I presume all paying Organizers do.

It seems my access to old version of website was lost on 14 Dec (USA time - as announced via email).

Who else has full access to old version?

As far as I can tell, Wendy is the only one...

If you have full access, are you doing anything special to retain this?
You mean, other than shamelessly shilling for Meetup/WeWork?  8)

Most of us PAID Organizers want FULL access back to our old classic desktop HOME PAGE.   We want an OPT-OUT of the entire bad "new design" crap that is interfering with our former abilities to fully MANAGE our events, members and get things DONE like our members have come to expect!                                     I for one am planning to join the MASS resignations of PAID Organizers on Saturday Dec 23rd IF they still haven't provided us an OPT-OUT of the damn "new design" crap by then.

No Meetup sychophant or Wework shilling is going to change my mind about that!  An OPT-OUT better be forthcoming soonest, or I shall be opting OUT of Meetup entirely!

We know that Meetup admins and sychophants are reading this message board now... Be warned of an Exodus of Organizers coming very soon...

Steve the Org who wouldn't shut up

Here's a little snippet I came across from Meetup's Wikipedia page.

Anybody can write anything on Wikipedia.  I write and change articles on Wikipedia all the time.

Be skeptical about Wikipedia as a source of information -- e.g., the pages that claimed Miley Cyrus, Sergey Brin and Paul Reiser are dead.

A lot of that exact writing is on meetups own blog at http://blog.meetup.com/meetup-redesign/

The only error in the Meetup Wikipedia page is they didn't go to local bars to do one afternoon and evening of in-depth research.  My guess is they never went anywhere. The staff just interviewed themselves at Meetup HQ.

Re: Scheduling events --- I cannot get to my old homepage, but I can schedule events using the old system, and also using the new system.

When I click on Members, it brings me to my old background, with a link to the Calendar (on the left where it used to be), and when I'm on the Calendar I can click on a date to schedule an event.

On the new homepage, it is also possible to schedule an event using the new system.

Re: the Calendar --- I cannot get to it on my phone (samsung).

It's a mess ---------

When I edit an event, for example, I get the message "While weíre finishing up a few features, you will still have access to the old page."

With a link to the Old Meetup interface, where the entire previous scheduling interface is available.

Are you not getting this?

Yes, we still have access to old version of event Schedule/Edit page.

I can also similarly navigate to my old group homepage, enjoy the old wallpaper, etc.

Old version of schedule/edit page and other accessible pages that don't have new version yet may show old wallpaper, etc, but how do we access old version of group home page and event pages, etc? To qualify as "full access to the old desktop MU site", I think there needs to be access to all old version pages we had access to before 14 Dec.
